The Fatal Flaws Legacy Challenge

The premise of this challenge is that each generation is confronted with a "fatal flaw" that they either decide to overcome or revel in. The reason I wrote this challenge was considering I realized that the sims I enjoyed playing well-nigh were ones with "negative" traits. I had a lot of fun writing this, so I hope at least ane other person has fun playing it :)  Google Physician Link

Notes:

• This challenge is greatly improved by any mods that brand actually traits matter, e.m. personality please, roburky'due south meaningful stories.
• This claiming is more story-based than game-play based, though there's elements of both
• You don't need to consummate the aspirations! They're only meant as a guide + are also at that place for the sake of the aspiration trait.
• The only generations that actually require an expansion pack are gen 4: squeamish, because that particular trait comes from outdoor retreat and gen vii: lazy, because it requires you lot to adopt animals.
• Feel free to go to university any generation if you experience like information technology suits your sim'south story/you want to.

Generation One: Mean

you didn't grow up in the happiest or most functional of households. and then y'all moved out every bit soon equally yous could. now information technology's just y'all, your dog, and your shitty task. you're kind of an asshole, but you tin can't help it – information technology's a deep-seated defense mechanism from your by. other people tin can't hurt you if you hurt them first, right? but every bit y'all grow older, y'all start to realise that, more than anything, yous desire the loving family y'all never had. if just you could observe someone who could make it past your terrible social skills in order to see the big middle you have hidden underneath.

• traits: mean, dog lover (base game: gloomy) + family orientated (YA)
• aspiration: big happy family unit
• career: retail + can pick another part fourth dimension career as an developed on top of that (optional)

rules

1. beginning the generation as a teen on an empty lot.
2. drop out of high school using a mod, or only only don't get.
3. make money from the retail career + dumpster diving, fishing, collectibles, anything, just never become a proper full time chore.
4. be mean to everyone you met until you meet you lot spouse.
5. when yous age up into young developed, meet and woo a sim of your choice (optional: they accept the proficient trait.)
6. accept at least 3 kids and become at to the lowest degree 'friends' level human relationship     with all of them.

• Cats and Dogs: have a dog with the friendly trait, go companions with them.
• Parenthood: if you want an extra challenge, historic period up from teenager to have the insensitive trait from negative empathy.

The Sour Legacy Challenge

Did I make a legacy claiming based on Olivia Rodrigo's Sour? Yep, I did.

Am I going to be posting my gameplay of information technology on my blog? Yeah I am.

The overall guidelines are pretty loose here. Obviously in that location's a lot to achieve each generation, only I tried to brand it so there is plenty of room for liberty too. And if y'all're not feeling an aspiration or accept a career you've been pregnant to try - go ahead and switch it up if you call back it makes sense! Just effort to pick something that isn't already in the challenge.

Nightmare Legacy Claiming for the Sims iv

Rules written by @matchacake, challenge inspired past @lilsimsie'southward current LP over on her YouTube channel!

The challenge is uncomplicated – complete 10 sim generations with the same family, but on curt lifespan! Consummate the challenge on story mode or nightmare mode for even more suffering!

Disclaimer: This is by no means a new take on the classic legacy challenge, and I'm sure at that place are many other challenges out there that are very similar! I've just been binge-watching lilsimsie's current LP whilst suffering a bad burst of my chronic illness and felt so inspired that I pulled out my erstwhile gaming laptop then I could play something similar in bed! At present that I'm going into gen 2 I thought I would write upward some rules that I could personally follow, and accept decided to share them here with yous. xo

► BERRY PASTEL RAINBOWCY - UPDATED VERSION ◄

It is finally here! After weeks of working on this challenge, I can finally say that I am done and prepare to start playing 👀 But first, let me introduce you to the challenge!

After the ungodly amount of dear I received after sharing the NSB updated rules, I figured why not continue this trend and update one of my favorite berry legacies on this planet! Similarly to the NSB updated rules, I wanted to make the Berry Pastel Rainbowcy challenge past @berrysweetboutique​ more than challenging and add content from the newer packs to the claiming to get in more than electric current. That being said, this claiming commencement and foremost belongs to Berry, who kindly gave me permission to share this updated rules version of her beloved legacy challenge!

Similarly to the NSB updated challenge, the rules will be posted in a google document for piece of cake access and to enable me to edit the rules whenever I want/need to. In the google document, I have listed the original rules also so you are able to choose between playing with the original rules or playing with the updated rules. Also, this gives you an overview of what inverse and what remained the same. Feel free to skip or add objectives as you play, you don't have to stick to the objectives I've laid out for you, but they're there if yous would like to play around with them!

Then! I accept always wanted to write my ain legacy challenge. I've revamped and updated plenty for personal gameplay, but never had the guts to get one of my own out in that location in to the Simming community. Merely finally, hither I am—I'k doing information technology! Here goes zippo:

Welcome to the Forgotten Realms Legacy Challenge! I always use legacy challenges as ground of reference and inspiration, and I very much encourage yous to practice the aforementioned with this i. We're all hither to take fun, and and then if a generation has a rule you don't like? Change it! Got a story going on you'd like to follow? Bend those goals! Actually like the look of the goals of a later generation? Do that 1 next! However, for those of you who are really up to a strict challenge: I've attempted to include every bit much item every bit possible to really squeeze everything I can out of the game and requite a cohesive challenge, likewise as include a base of operations story to follow through the generations.

Forgotten Realms is a claiming inspired past Dungeons and Dragons, from where it gets its namesake, and uses the classes from the game to craft each generation'south goals and story guidelines. Notwithstanding! The fantasy nature of this inspiration does not mean all your Sims have to be brightly coloured or have pointy ears, and I encourage all takes on the legacy from Alpha, to Vanilla, to Berry Sweet, and everything in between! (i have included suggested berry colouring for each gen because i've been feeling my drupe cocky, and the colours are based off of the official dnd class colourings, and utilise @noodlescc'south sorbet remix palette as reference)

Basic legacy rules may apply here if you then wish (start with cipher, no gameplay cheats allowed, etc.), though if you're looking to take a more storytelling approach, or merely adopt to follow legacies with the comfort of your usual gameplay methods, then screw information technology! Whip freerealestate on, get your founder a squeamish little house, and piece of work from there. Some cool ideas I similar to use nevertheless, include:

• Deciding on a method of heir option and sticking to it
  
• Rolling ane-six for the amount of offspring to be born each generation (this is referred to equally the offspring roll when referenced in generation goals)
• Using this genetics generator to get the well-nigh genetically realistic offspring from your Sims (especially Berry Sims!)
• Having your Sims alive in every bit many worlds every bit possible!
• Assuming you must complete the aspiration, and reach the top of your given career, for each generation
