Depends on what version of the Xbox you have, the Original Xbox was never designed to be placed vertically.
The S and X models, there's a stand up you can purchase specifically designed to permit them to be placed vertically.

It'south no problem of yous have a proper stand for it. Just be careful not to knock it over. I prefer horizontal.

To my knowledge the original Xbox One was not designed to stand vertically. As for where you lot should place it I'd recommend on tiptop of:
- A shelf
- Desk-bound
- Table/Coffee Table
- Cabinet
Simply anywhere with enough room for the hot air to bicycle abroad from the console to avoid overheating.
I have my panel adjacent to my wall on top of my desk with space roughly ii inches between the wall and console and I've never had any issues with overheating, fifty-fifty after long 12+ hours of straight gaming.

Olá, meu xbox é o one Due south, sempre deixei na horizontal, mas em um lugar não abafado, já deixei na vertical, porém achei que os barulhos que estava fazendo não era normal, então prefiro deixar na horizontal mesmo.
